photoshopranger: about the iconner

the basic facts: I'm a twenty-something living in the midwestern United States. I work computer support at a community college and have a whole lot of free time on my hands for a good chunk of the year. I primarily support the Mac OS, Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark. I've been working with Photoshop since 1998 (started with version 4) but there is always something new to learn. I like answering questions, so feel free to ask me.

I am a media horder. One of the first things I did online was collect pictures of pretty pretty men. Ten years later, I haven't manged to break the habit. This of course helps enormously when it comes to creating icons. I can usually track down just the picture I need, and well if I don't already have it I happen to be wicked at finding just what I want with google's image search.

fandom fun: I'd say Star Trek TNG was the first show I was well and truly hooked on, but Highlander was my first fandom. Now I dabble in a number of different ones, however none have drawn me in and kept me quite so firmly as Highlander did. Currently I try to catch Stargate, CSI, and Crossing Jordan on a regular basis and Lost is slowly gaining speed. So those are the ones I'm likely to poke around with the most, however I still play with Highlander images and I catch a number of other shows if the TV happens to be on when I'm home so you really can never tell what I might come up with. I am easily amused.
